This song was written as a possible contestant in the Vancouver Island song-writing competition 2013, but I didn't enter it for fear it was too political. Ironically, it ended up being nominated for Country Recording of Year at the Vancouver Island Music Awards. Monsanto takes the wife, the child, the dog, the cat, the mouse, the cheese…
